Design & Prototyping

Truly Customized Designs

When a customer comes to us in need of design services, we get excited to help make their thoughts a reality. We’ve developed a robust design and prototyping process to ensure each and every customer is satisfied with the product they walk away with. Check out each step below to learn more about how we turn ideas into functional designs.

Step 1

Concept

First, we sit down with you to hear all about what you’re looking for. We’ll get a detailed description of the product, along with any goals you may have for the piece.

Step 2

Digital Ideation

Once we know what you’re looking for, our team of designers crafts a digital solution through SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Draftsight, Inventor, and/or Fusion 360.

Step 3

Review

After our design team creates a digital mockup, we send it over so you can review the design. We make any adjustments you need to make sure your vision is fully realized.

Step 4

Prototype

We’re done with the digital and on to the physical! Our team builds a physical prototype of your product so you can perform live testing and evaluation.

Step 5

Adjust

Live testing helps us know if any improvements need to be made to the product design. If they do, we’ll update the digital design and create physical changes to match.

Step 6

Final Testing

We want to be sure that the prototype product performs exactly as intended before we finalize the design process. That means we send the updated version for testing and make any final edits.

Cost and Material Savings

Although we’re capable of making physical concepts during product design and development, we prioritize digital designs first. Why? Because it saves materials and costs for our customers. Whenever possible, we’ll pursue processes that minimize resource consumption, and we work to recycle as many elements as we can, including the materials used in fixturing. We even reserve drops to use for future concepts instead of tossing them in a scrap bin. In the end, that means our customers spend less, and we cut back on our environmental impact. It’s a win-win.

We’re Designed to Work Together

What are you waiting for? The sooner you get in contact, the sooner we can start designing the products and parts you need.
